There is a bridal gown studio in Port Elizabeth that promises something different. Something for everyone. Something in every price range. Something very, very special. That place is Lady Marmalaide PE.
A national company bragging the international designers Demetrios and Max Chaoul’s bridal gowns, Lady Marmalaide has been an institution in Johannesburg for a number of years now. With its catchy name, the vision of the owner of the brand, Lani du Plessis, as well as the unique ability of this wedding studio to make brides’ fairytales become real – at reasonable prices – there was nothing to do but expand.
From one shop in Johannesburg, the brand expanded to include boutiques and studios in other areas in Gauteng. Soon, people in George, Stellenbosch and Bloemfontein people also wanted agencies. This is how Lady Marmalaide Port Elizabeth came into existence:
Aletheia Botha moved to Port Elizabeth from the small town of Somerset East in November 2009. It wasn’t long before she thought that she might add to the beautiful things PE offers. With this in mind, she set off to search Gauteng for just the right product – and found just what she had been looking for: Lady Marmalaide Wedding Dress Collection.
She became the owner of the Eastern Cape agency for Lady Marmalaide a short few months ago, and has been very busy ever since.
Many people from as far as East London, Grahamstown, Bedford and Alicedale have come to PE especially to visit the Lady Marmalaide studio.
Aletheia says, “Your wedding truly is the most special day; the one you’ve planned since you were a little girl. At Lady Marmalaide, we believe that everything – from the designer and the quality, to your time you spend fitting your dress – should add to the pleasurable experience.”
What makes Lady Marmalaide PE different from others, is that brides can try dresses on in the studio and order their dream-dress from an extensive range available in catalogues. “You know what the final product looks like, you know the quality, and you know the price. There are no surprises, except perhaps how much value for money we offer,” says Aletheia.
